THE IV JERRY GOLDSMITH AWARDS CONTEST IS NOW OPEN

Are you a composer and you do not know how to have your work exposed and recognized? Well, this is your opportunity.

The Festival has opened its doors to the IV edition of the already internationally-famous Jerry Goldsmith Awards. Please, click on the Awards section of our website to find all the information.

This contest intends to acknowledge the work of those artists that are at the start of their careers in the audiovisual world (film, shows, video games or any other related media). Since we know how difficult it is for new composers to find a suitable space to have their production exhibited, this contest offers them a wide range of tools to help them in their promotion, both within and outside our borders; the award just being one of many vehicles they will have at their disposal.

The winners in each category will thus see their efforts rewarded in manifold ways. In addition, all their creations will benefit from a significant exposure on the grounds of the extensive media coverage that the ceremony and in general the event do offer.

The Jerry Goldsmith Award takes this name after the great North-American composer, deceased in 2004, and author of such representative scores as Patton, Alien, Chinatown, Poltergeist or The Omen, for which he earned an Oscar. The first year these prizes were presented, we were honored with his widow’s, Carol Heather Goldsmith, attending the ceremony.
